Abstract

Water is a basic need of life of all living things on the universe. It is a essential and beautiful gift of nature. Without it survival of life could not possible. Currently the resources of fresh water is becoming reduced rapidly. Whole world’s scienticest’s research are under debate that how to reuse or recycle the water. Similarly Muslims jurists and scholars worked on it and shared their views and theories that it may be reused or recycled under the Islamic law by adopting some conditions and methods and revealed that Islamic tradition does not allow any person, group or state to extract groundwater or other resources without a ‘needs analysis’. They also agree that extracting water unsustainably, or being extravagant in daily life, will directly affect the quality of life of future generations. The purpose of this study is to discuss all aspects of water reuse, the importance and uses of water, water recycling and identifying halal and effective health water from an Islamic perspective. Also, what methods can be used to make water pure? We will discuss all these points in the light of Qur’an, hadiths and various fatwas.
