An Exploratory analysis of Sheikh Abdul Jabbar's Compilation Work and Commentary: Hadyat ul Bajouri Shar'h Al-Sahih Al-Bukhari

Abstract

This research study basically summarizes a chapter of dissertation, based on an exploratory study of legendary scholars that hails from erstwhile Bajaur Agency. One of the three scholars is Sheikh Muhammad Abdul jabbar. His compilation works include numerous books on Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh etc. Hadyat ul Bajouri is one his gigantic work, as commentary on Sahih Bukhari. Sahih Al-Bukhari covers almost all aspects of life in providing proper guidance from the messenger of Allah. There are six texts of the sayings of the holy prophet, called sihah e sittah. Which has been translated and interpreted by numerous commentaries, called shurooh.since the original name of the work is Al-Jami Al-Musnad Al-Sahih Al-Mukhtasar  Min Umur Rasul Allah Sallá Allah Alayhi Wa-Sallam Wa-Sunanihi Wa-Ayyamihi  which means,The shortened authentic (sahih) collection with isnaads from the affairs of the messenger, peace be upon him, and his traditions and his days. Over a period of 1400 years , it has been an established norm, that these commentators rank high in muslim academia archaics,till todate, throughout the Islamic land scape. This research work is based on one such effort by sheikh  Muhammad Abdul Jabbar, through his commentary of sahih bukhari, named Hadyat ul Bajauri,the proper also includes his early life, education, scholastic standing, in Islamic education and Research.
