Abstract

Sahih al-Bukhari holds paramount importance in Islamic literature. it is renowned for its authenticity and meticulous selection of Hadith. Sahih al-Bukhari serves as a foundational source of guidance for Muslims worldwide. Its rigorous methodology in verifying the chain of narrators and the content of Hadith sets a standard for authenticity in Islamic world.

The compilation's comprehensive nature and adherence to scholarly rigor make it an indispensable resource for scholars, jurists, and believers seeking authentic guidance from the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

In the same way, it is not possible to deny the importance of the knowledge of etymology, because whenever a student of Arabic language and literature considers the words of the Arabic language and their branches, he is surprised to observe that there are many words which appear completely different from each other, but there is a surprising similarity in meaning between them. And understanding this similarity is not possible without getting information about the knowledge of derivation.

In this article, the types of derivation of verbs used in Sahih Bukhari's Kitab al-Ayman have been discussed and through various examples, an attempt has been made to explain what forms of derivation from one word to another can be.
